Translation Technology

On this page, you will find all the amazing products from the techonolgy department of Esaro Intergalactic. The tools in this section are provided on an as-is basis (you know the drill).

TRipper
Tripper is a tool for spellchecking Trados-dumps. Have you ever faced the problem of translating 10 % of a very large project? Looking for away to check just the segments you produced? Look no further, Tripper is your one stop solution for proofing your own work, not others! New version (1.0.005) with replacement of SGML-tags and integrated help system (24k zip, Win32 command line). Source available here.

lsg2txt

lsg2txt is one of the corner stones in the localization razz-matazz of Esaro. You use it to make Tittut-compatible glossaries out of the CSV format exported by LocStudio from Microsoft(r). If you have no idea with all this is about, check out the tool anyways! It's free! And it comes with source! And it's only 29k zip!

Mclip

Mclip is the final word in multiple Clipboard management. Simple storage of up to 16 different strings in a single window! Just select one of the positions, press Ctrl+V, and there you have it -- a stored string to be re-used over and over again.

rpt2tab

Finally a tool without fuzz! If you've ever been stuck with a log from a Trados analysis, looking for a way to fix the file into a more Excel-friendly format, you've just found the sweetest spot on the Internet. The application is so extremely basic that you'll have to do the old style redirection of stdin and stdout. Do like this:

rpt2tab < analys.log > analys.txt

to get a textfile that can be opened in Excel with truly exciting performance.
